Today in Circle we finished quickly so we got to do number talks early. In number talks we worked in partners and then played a game as a class. We are getting better at memorizing our doubles to help us solve equations. After learning commons, gym and music we worked on our literacy by reviewing our Soapstone writing and working on our Arctic Slideshows. Then we had lunch followed by quiet reading. Next we had a math quiz in which we had to solve a word problem. We needed to use our understanding of patterns to solve it. After that we were learning about Arctic in the Classroom and we were passing around artifacts from the Arctic.
Mr. Bhachu thinks we need to work on staying seated in our chairs during learning, sharing materials we have at our tables, and keeping silly noises in our heads instead of out loud. Homework: Talk to your parents about which expectations you are finding challenging. Blog written by different students who were willing to volunteer their ideas.
